And so it begins...

*Gong* All Ye Hail Emperor Superstar! The Emperor Thpeaketh!

Fei and Crue demand an update. I shall bore the good people with a rant!

I am sitting here thinking of what to write. As I do that, I am trekking through my previous thoughts and would like to establish that I awoke at 11 this morning, played along to 'River Man' on Trusty Rusty, moved on to the piano outside and then had day-old mee soto for breakfast. Mentioning coffee, to go along with it, would be understating the inevitable.

It's the Civil Defence Force for me in about two weeks and I have plans. Big plans for world-dominance. By side-tracking, I was thinking of possible reasons for the system enrolling me to a force that caters mostly to gangsters and delinquents. I know I've been referred to as a delinquent many times *think Derek Tan*, but I never took that seriously nor did I ever welcome the notion.

On the thought of being a gangster, I was fantasizing about being a schizophrenic with a split-personality and by night, I'm some big-time mob-boss. That would explain why I'm being thrown in with the whole lot, yeah? My presence would be highly anticipated either because they want my head for various, unknown reasons or they just wanna make merry. Who knows?

OK. Back on schedule. Big plans. Yes, big plans.

1) Prepare physically and mentally for BRT that starts on the 12th of December.
2) Brave the storm and emerge an ERS (Escape & Rescue Specialist) ranking as Sergeant to command a troop and earn about a
thousand per month.
3) Save that money to fund the renovation of my bedroom to turn it into my own personal recording station for future use.
4) Learn how to use 'Garage Band' and the other accessories on my 'Mac mini' to become tech-savvy, at least, in my own
room.
5) Purchase a number of accessories and add-ons like the BR-1600CD Digital Studio (by Roland), A keyboard, Jam-packs
(by Garage Band), a Midi interface, other miscellaneous electronics and maybe even a GT-8 Effects Panel (by Roland).
6) Send guitars and bass for general servicing.
7) Private lessons from Timothy O'Dwyer - Orchestrating/arranging skills + alto saxophone.
8) Private vocal lessons from Amanda Colliver?
9) Additional private guitar, bass and drum lessons to complete the whole image of 'Musically-inclined Superman'.
10) Get my long-awaited license to drive.
11) Load up on Music.
12) Prepare material, in the mean time, to use when auditioning or while undertaking Degree in Composition on the new
Lasalle-SIA campus, which will take place only after passing out from the Civil Defence Force by the end of 2008.
13) Work continuously on side-line projects such as the 'Lovely Bunch of Coconuts', the 'Neo-acoustic Trio' and possibly
'Mistaken Identity' (if they'd consider taking me in as one of the crew to arrange/orchestrate their music).
14) Eventually, create the 'Super Band' fit for the 'Musically-inclined Superman'.
15) Find work to sustain me further after National Service.
16) Prepare for the biggest graduation show ever in the history of the Lasalle-SIA (Music Faculty).

That's it for now but basically, my aims are to better myself totally and make full, good use of these next few years instead of being stagnant. My music and my future have got to be top-priority.

P.S. If any of you need help with arranging/orchestrating music for ensembles/groups, or know of people who are in need of expertise in that area, do not hesitate to drop me a line. I will be more than glad to help and practice my talent. I'm also interested in composing for various musical/movie soundtracks and pop/sub-pop acts. Thank you. My contact is 90185506 - Nicholas J. Olsen.

The Emperor Hath Thpoken! *Gong*
